How long have you been with Eftech International? Have you had different roles?
“I’ve been with Eftech International since July 2020, starting off as an Operations Coordinator in South Australia (SA).
“As time progressed, I was then offered the Operations Manager role in SA and Victoria earlier this year in August.”
Can you tell us about your professional background?
“Back in 1997, I began my career in Moomba, SA as a contractor for Santos Maintenance and the following year I took up the role of Site Supervisor for Adecco.
“After two years there, I decided to take on the role of Service Technician at Furmanite working in the oil, gas, power, mining, petroleum, and defence (ASC) industry across Australia and New Zealand.
“I specialised in various aspects of the business, including but not limited to, on-site machining, bolting, valve overhaul and leak sealing – this led me to my next appointment in 2009 as a SA Valve Workshop Supervisor managing a team of specialised technicians.
“Last year, I was given the opportunity to join Eftech International and my experience to date has been nothing short of excellent.
“The team has provided me with exceptional support and mentorship to further develop and grow in my role, particularly Managing Director Andrew Manning and Operations Director Mark Duncan.”
What are your key responsibilities as an Operations Manager? How long have you been in your current role for?
“I started my new role in August and my key responsibilities are to oversee the day-to-day operations of the business in SA and Victoria.
“Working alongside the team in Adelaide and Perth, I ensure operational processes run smoothly while liaising with clients to deliver quality outcomes.
I’m also responsible for mobilising job sites, hiring personnel, and ensuring client satisfaction and workplace safety.”
Where within SA does most of the operations happen?
“To date the locations have been quite varied, and we’ve been working in the metropolitan and regional areas of SA.”
What do you enjoy most about your role?
“No two days are ever the same.
“I enjoy delivering an exceptional service to our clients, as well as building relationships, to ensure the business is successful by providing outstanding safety and quality across all of our work.”
What kind of skills do you need to have for your role?
“Organisational skills, interpersonal skills, technical knowledge, and a can-do attitude.”

Were you born and bred in SA? What do you love most about the state?
“I was born and bred in SA and grew up in Leigh Creek in the far North of South Australia, 580km from Adelaide CBD.
“I love the atmosphere that SA generates… we are SA the Great!”
Outside of work, what do you enjoy doing?
“I’m a married man with five children and two grandchildren, so it’s safe to say my hands are pretty full.
“I love spending time with them caravanning/camping, water skiing and exploring the great outdoors.
“I also love to ride my prized possession – the Harley – when the weather permits.”
